A new spam campaign is impersonating the US Postal Service (USPS), delivering various types of malware including trojans, ransomware and malware. They target various verticals like health care, manufacturing etc.
Most of their US emails come with a malicious Word document named “USPS_Deliver.doc”.
As with many of this type of email, it suggests a sense of “urgency” to lure the recipient into opening the file.
Once opened, it runs a macro that installs a banking trojan called “IceID” which tries to grab the victim’s online banking information.
As always, practice “safe clicking” and use a “click protection” feature like our “ClickSmart” to help neuter these links.
